Director / Producer

Prashant Issar, better known by his nick-name "Sippi", is the founder, owner and director of Tubelight flms. The thrill of telling short stories and the idea of meeting creative people drove Prashant to join an ad film production company way back in 1994. Not having grown up dreaming about films, he did try his hand doing short stints in a marketing job and the merchant navy to soon realize that telling stories in the film format was his true calling.

He joined "Gyan Correa" a leading production company in 1994, as a production assistant. After sweating it out for four and a half years doing production and post production there, he decided to see the other side of ad film making i.e. the "Agency" end of business. In 1998 he joined Saatchi & Saatchi as an agency producer and soon found himself at the helm of things at Saatchi's Films department. It is at "Saatchi", as Films Chief, that he got the chance to work with some of the top names in the ad film business in India and overseas, making the next 4 years full of priceless experience learning from the best directors the industry had to offer. Not only did he commission work to directors, but also started to direct commercials in-house for the agency.

When a few of his commercials won at the prestigious AAAI awards in Mumbai, he decided to start his own production company "PI films", in 2002 . Within months of starting PI films he was invited by Prasoon Pandey to join "Corcoise films" as a panel director. Prashant spent eight years at Corcoise, directing more than 180 spots for leading brands not only in India but also for clients in LA, Italy and Dubai. Having won many ad club awards in India for his work he also has many finalists in international festivals like the New York Festival, London film festival and the Asia ad Fest.

Finally in 2011, after 16 years in the industry, with over 200 commercials under his belt and numerous brands to choose from, Sippi formed Tubelight Films.

He is now regarded as one of the finest in the business, making Tubelight films a very sought after production company.
